Songs to make people feel alive! Music for humans prenatal through prehistoric, spanning the entire emotional spectrum. Humor and audience involvement are integral parts of every live performance.

My performances, regardless of where or for whom, are designed to fit the audience to a tee, and to leave them feeling renewed, hopeful, and emotionally charged. My originals are fraught with childish illogic, profound feelings, absurd humor, and, at times, both subtle and obvious messages.

My songwriting workshops help folks young and old unearth talent that’s hidden no more. Every participant becomes a songwriter! This experience is designed both to stimulate and exploit the innate creativity within us all. It helps the participants discover themselves, their uniqueness, and their poetic and musical talents.

They will learn to appreciate, and collaborate with, their fellow composers. The ability to create something beautiful in a group is a skill they will always carry with them.

My school residencies focus on the "music of lyrics." Every word comes from the students. As a catalyst, I soon have the young lyricists dictating verses and chorus, and the finished musical sculpture is a source of great pride. Meter and rhythm, rhyming, and poetry versus lyric writing are some of the concepts covered during brainstorming. The students create the melody and determine the song style as well. This guarantees total ownership, an essential goal of the residency. A grand performance, in which each class showcases its creation, is a festival of self-esteem and joyous accomplishment.
